Welcome to BreakfastBuddy (“the App”). By downloading, installing, registering for, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App provides:
We may from time to time add, modify, suspend, or remove features, without individual notice.
You must create an account via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age required by the laws of your jurisdiction) to use the App.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
For privacy, your community posts are displayed under an anonymous identifier. Administrators may map this back to your real account when necessary (e.g., investigating violations).
You must not do any of the following. Violations may result, without prior notice, in warnings, feature restrictions, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination:
We log violation events to assist in detecting repeated abuse. Repeated violations may result in permanent suspension.
The App currently offers the following subscription plans:

The actual price displayed by the App Store / Google Play at the time of checkout shall control.
We may offer a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription, and Apple / Google will charge your payment method.
All subscriptions renew automatically by default.
To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
You may cancel any time. After canceling, you keep paid features until the end of the current period. The plan then automatically reverts to free, with no refund for the remainder.
Refunds are handled by the platform’s policy:
We cannot directly issue refunds ourselves.
We may adjust subscription prices from time to time. Price changes will be announced in the App and take effect on the next renewal cycle. If you do not agree, cancel before that cycle.
You retain all rights to the content you publish (images, comments). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to store, reproduce, display, transmit, and resize/reformat (e.g., compression, thumbnail generation) your content for the purposes of: (i) providing and improving the App; and (ii) promoting and marketing the App, including displaying it on our own official website and social media accounts (such as Instagram and Facebook).
You are solely responsible for content you publish. We do not pre-screen all content but reserve the right to remove content under §3 at any time.
The App’s code, UI, icons, trademarks, and the way AI responses are presented are the property of the developer, protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
We may periodically select popular breakfast images from the community (for example, the most-liked image each week) and display them on the App’s official social media accounts to promote the App. Such display will be anonymous and will not include your real name, account, or other personally identifiable information. If you prefer your content not to be used this way, you may choose not to share to the community, or request removal of specific content at any time via “Settings → Contact Us.”
The App produces food recognition results via a third-party AI model (Google Gemini). AI results are for entertainment and reference only and do not constitute medical, nutritional, allergy, or safety advice. We do not guarantee accuracy. If you have dietary restrictions, allergies, or chronic conditions, rely on advice from a qualified physician or dietitian.
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time.
You may stop using the App at any time, and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice. Upon termination, your in-App content, subscription benefits, and any unused trial may be immediately forfeited.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
If your violation of these Terms or applicable law gives rise to a third-party claim or causes us a loss, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless.
These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court of Taiwan as the court of first instance, without prejudice to any consumer protection rights granted by applicable consumer protection law.
When these Terms are revised, we will announce the changes in the App and update the “Last Updated” date. Material changes take effect 7 days after the announcement. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
